Adding and Subtracting radicals problems:
We can identify radicals by seeing the root sign. Also root having in radicals can be either square root or cubic root or any other root.there are three types of radicals expression radical symbols, radicand and another is index.Radicals are defined as the term of having the root.
So in this blog we are going to learn some adding radicals and subtracting radicals. Here is the example for adding and subtracting radicals problems-
Problems: Simplify the equation for adding and subtracting radicals: √ (64) / (√36)
Solution:
Step 1: Factors of 64 = 8× 8
√ (64) = √ (8 × 8)
= √82
Step 2: Square root of 82 = 8; we know n = x , here n = 2
Step 3: Factors of 36 = 6 × 6
√ (36) = √ (6 × 6) = √62
Step 4: √62 = 6 ; we know n = x , here n = 2
Step 5: so, √ (64) / √36) = 8 / 6
Answer of the given radical is 8 / 6.
This is only one example of adding radicals and subtracting radicals.Next time we will learn more about this concept.
