Area of a Triangle

What is Triangle

A triangle is a three sided polygon. A triangle is one of the basic shapes of geometry a two-dimensional figure with three vertices and three sides which are straight line segment.

Introduction to area of the triangle:

We can find the area of a triangle in several ways. First one, area of the triangle is half of the multiplication of base and height of the triangle.

Second one, using the semi perimeter of triangle with three side values. Finally, we can find area of triangle by using the angle of triangle and two side values.

Formula to Find Area of the Triangle:

We can find the area of triangle in different ways depending upon the given value of problem.

The area of a triangle formulas is,

Area A=1/2(b*h)

Here b is the base of a triangle.

h is the height of a triangle.

Another is Heron's formula; it gives the area in terms of the three sides of the triangle. It is given by:

Area A= √(s(sa) (sb) (sc))

Here s is the semi perimeter of the triangle, that is, s = (a + b + c)/2.

The area of triangle when given two sides and one in between angle is, the area is

Area A= (ab sin C)/2

The above formula says the half of the product of two side values and given one in between angle.
